Birth of a daughter #1 | ‘Muschke’ Roeckaert, Jules |
Brief Note | Eduard De Herdt was a renowned fancier of the day, from the small town of Kontich about 10kms from Borgerhout, and in his early days Jules Roeckaert bought pigeons from him. From two of those pigeons Roeckaert bred "Muschke" who turned out to be an excellent racing hen but an even better breeding hen. In turn "Muschke" bred the "Oude Lichte" and when he was paired to a hen from Emile van der Avoort, who also lived in Borgerhout and whose pigeons mostly derived from Roeckaert, they produced the "Goede Lichte" Belg19-42410 who proved to be the principal stud cock of the Jules Roeckaert lofts. |
